As an equal member of the Schengen Area, the Republic of Latvia applies the common Schengen Area rules to all travelers. Therefore, all Schengen Area nationals traveling to Latvia only need an identification document to enter its territory.

- When travelling by car. Car registration, car insurance, return travel tickets (ferry or Eurotunnel) mentioning the car’s registration number and driver’s driving license.

- Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Latvia. - Latvia application form signed by both parents.
